The School of Fine and Performing Arts was established in the year 2010 with the aim of promoting the study of fine arts, painting, acting, theatre production, script writing, film, screenplay, folk dance, classical dance, folk instruments, music, classical music, folk arts, and similar subjects. The objective of the School is to provide new opportunities to face the challenges posed by modernization and globalization.

The School offers both theoretical and practical training in performing arts. Since all these art forms are extremely important from a professional standpoint, students and scholars who pursue studies in these areas earn distinct recognition. Today is known as the age of knowledge, science, and technology. In such a time, it is the School’s sincere aim to attract students towards traditional folk arts, folk dances, classical dance, folk songs, folk literature, acting, cultural uniqueness, and the language of art.

For the past fourteen years, the School has remained a hub for drama, various art festivals, and literary events. Eminent authors, theatre artists, directors, actors, musicians, singers, instrumentalists, researchers, scholars, and expert professors are regularly invited to deliver lectures and conduct workshops at the School.

Keeping in view the changing times, the School has always been proactive in striking the right balance between tradition and innovation. With a commitment to “preserving the old and embracing the new,” the School constantly works towards nurturing social, cultural, and artistic uniqueness. The School plays a significant role in promoting social, educational, and research-based development within the university campus.
