About The School

School of Pharmacy is a campus school of Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University Nanded, established in 2007. It has emerged as one of the leading institute in Marathwada region. The Institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education New Delhi, Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and Govt. of Maharashtra. It offers B. Pharm., M. Pharm. in various disciplines and Ph. D. Programs. M.Pharm. program is available in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology and Quality Assurance. SOP with experienced and dynamic staff with research facilities proudly caters the academic and research needs of the undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral programmes in the area of pharmaceutical sciences. So far, School has received grants from UGC, AICTE and DST through various schemes. School is equipped with sophisticated instruments like HPLC, IR, UV-Visible spectrophotometer, DSC, Deep Freezer, and Lyophillizer etc.

I heartily welcome you to the webpage of School of Pharmacy. School established in 2007. School offers Ph. D, Masters and Bachelor’s degree programme in Pharmacy to cater the needs of pharmacists and with the objective to fulfil the educational requirements of this region. The main aim of the school is to impart high quality education in pharmacy at the graduate, post graduate and doctorate level so as to generate superior Technical Human Resource. From 2011-12 AICTE has approved B. Pharmacy with the intake of 60 and four M. Pharmacy courses VIZ Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Quality Assurance and Pharmacology with AICTE Approved intake capacity of 18 each. The curriculum has been adopted as prescribed by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.

Admission Procedure
  • Admissions to B.Pharm and M.Pharm programmes are carried out by Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State. Interested and eligible candidates are informed to visit http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in for further details.

    Seats remain vacant after CAP rounds are filled at Institute level round as per the admission rules of DTE Maharashtra State.

Research and Extension Activities

This School has identified Nanotechnology formulations, Development of antidiabetic and anti -dyslipidemic drugs from natural origin, Synthesis NCE for antimicrobial activity as the thrust areas of the research. Students and faculty of the School actively participate in Research festivals like Avishkar and Anveshan. They are motivated to present their research in Conferences and publish in journals of national and international repute. A few students have bagged prizes in these festivals and Conferences. School teachers have authored books several important areas of pharmaceutical Science.

School Advisory Board

The School Advisory Committee (SAB) is constituted as per the Maharashtra University Act 2016 with an objective to improve the working of the School on the aspects of academic, research, innovation and extension activities. The board will advise the School on regular revision of the curriculum looking at the necessity and to meet the requirements at global level and will also play an important role in enabling the School to establish academic linkages with national and international universities, research institutes, industries, other organizations. The board will meet at least twice a year.
