The School of Computational Sciences is a premier academic unit committed to excellence in teaching, research, and innovation in the field of computer science and its applications. With a forward-looking curriculum and dedicated faculty, the School has consistently attracted bright minds from across the region and has become a preferred destination for students aspiring to pursue a career in software and data sciences.

Over the past several years, the School has maintained an impressive admission track record, reflecting the trust and interest of students in its academic offerings. Our students have achieved significant success in securing placements in reputed software companies such as TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, and several startups and product-based firms, owing to the strong industry-academia connect and skill-oriented training.
The School has also received a CSR grant from GS Lab, Pune, which has been instrumental in enhancing research infrastructure and supporting innovation-led activities. This support has further empowered faculty and students to engage in high-quality research, resulting in a good number of publications in reputed journals and conferences over the years.
From the academic year 2025–26, the School has launched a new undergraduate program—B.Sc. (Artificial Intelligence & Internet of Things) under the Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Program (AEDP) scheme. This program is designed to impart domain knowledge along with hands-on industry exposure through apprenticeships, bridging the gap between academics and the real-world IT environment.
With a vibrant academic culture, research-focused environment, and consistent industry engagement, the School of Computational Sciences continues to contribute meaningfully to the development of skilled professionals and researchers in the field of computing.

The School of Computational Sciences was established with the inception of this University (1994). The need of this School was for awareness of education in Computational Sciences in the region and assisting in the development of potential manpower of computer professionals from this rural area. The faculty of the School is young and dynamic with diverse academic background and invaluable practical experience. The School has the courses related to the latest trends and technologies associated with the computers. The School has well equipped laboratories with state of the art allied facilities.

Academics of the school are highly innovative and provide lot of scope to the students with practical skills. The evaluation of student consists of continuous internal evaluation and opens to the students as in well known institutes. Faculty members and students of the School participated and initiated several projects, attended conferences with the research related activities.
The School carries out teaching and research in the inter-disciplinary areas of computational Sciences, Computer Application &, database management & systems, high performance computing and artificial intelligence. The aim of the School is to innovate and integrate computational and analytical approaches adopted in different branches of sciences to find solutions. Rapid advancement in science and the cutting edge technologies enable and drive research in a big way, providing the opportunity to innovate. The School’s academic and research programs are currently focused on the core area of computational and systems with future emphasis on the study of complex systems, high density data analysis, and computational neurosciences.
