Student Welfare Assistance Scheme (SWAS) was initiated in 2015 to provide support to target students for tuition fees, living expenses and essential stationary. So far, more than 500 students have availed the benefits of this scheme amounting to more than 14,00,000 rupees. This amount has been raised through voluntary contributions made by university staff and public at large. This scheme helps in retaining students in higher education.
